1. Air quality analysis during full operation of ENC by the independent professional lab

The Occupation Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) of The United States Department of Labor has set Permissible Exposure Limits (PELs) to protect workers against the health effects of exposure to hazardous substances. PELs are regulatory limits on the amount or concentration of a substance in the air. OSHA PELs are based on an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA) exposure. An independent professional lab in Calgary had performed three air-quality inspections for our ENC shop during full operation. The results indicated that the possible air contaminants during our ENC operation were far below the PELS.

Soluble Nickel

Alkaline Dust as NaOH (mg/m3)

3. Torque Testing of Harber EN-300

Pup joints and couplings are used for drilling operation always experience high torque during service. The threads on pup joints and couplings then suffer severe wear and the resultant premature failure. Harber EN-300 coatings were applied onto the external and internal surfaces of pup joints and couplings. These coated parts were then tested under in-field high-torque conditions. Destructive torque testing was also performed to test the integrity of coatings.
